At Home: Maybe you are experiencing conflict, feeling unsure about a situation with your children, facing some other painful issue, or simply wanting to build closer, more intimate relationships. It helps to talk with someone who has been there, is trained to help you reach your goals, and can refer you to other sources of effective help when needed, such as a counselor with a particular specialization in the counseling field, or other important agencies. Private life coaching sessions are always completely confidential. Christian life coaching is available upon request for those who want to include God and Biblical teaching. For a more specific idea of what to expect in life coaching, scroll down to “What To Expect in Private Sessions.”
As an addition to or substitute for private coaching, classes are available on topics such as Listening Skills 101, Boundaries in Marriage, How To Help Your Child Achieve In School, An Ounce of Prevention: Effective Child Discipline, and many more. Please check for upcoming classes and groups on the Purchasing Page.
Growth groups are for class graduates – those who have completed a class and desire great company, mutual encouragement, and perhaps additional input, as they work toward their chosen goals.
At Work: You know something needs to change, whether it’s the quality of your customer service, the level of cooperation among coworkers, or some other aspect of the work environment. Maybe you’ve already tried books, consultants, or retreats. Maybe you book that motivational seminar. It’s fun, it’s creative, and maybe it’s inspirational. But the effect doesn’t last. No surprise there. Here’s what Brian Norris, a professional speaker himself, had to say: “After listening to a typical motivational speech, you might feel good. But . . . when you go back to work and the euphoria wears off, you realize that nothing has changed. Worse still, you realize that you still lack the tools to do your job or to run your life more effectively.”
I hope I provide some inspiration, but my main goal in private consultation is to do what others fail to do – help you discover the hidden obstacles that stand in your way, collaborate with you to develop a method for real change, and see it through to completion. I don’t like wasting your time and money, and I don’t like reinventing the wheel. I want to be time-efficient and effective, tailoring a plan for your individual needs, using SMART goals as a tool (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant to the highest priorities/goals, and Time-constrained).
Life coaching in general has proven to be a solid investment in the business world – a 2009 International Coach Federation study revealed that companies that use or have used a professional life coach have seen a median return on investment of 7 times their initial investment. So, imagine what can happen if we focus intently on root causes and implement positive and cheerful methods of change!
Private, confidential sessions will help you tackle problems and create a truly effective improvement plan. Classes are available as an optional part of that improvement plan, including Listening Skills 101, Secrets to Success In Customer Service, Getting and Keeping Volunteers, Stress Management and Harmonious Relationships As A Part of Wellness and Holistic Health, and many more designed for your specific needs. The implemented follow-up after the class is what makes a class truly effective. Please contact me to make a request.

“Caryl facilitated a parenting class on Active Listening and is a fantastic communicator. Caryl’s strength comes from her empathy for those she works with and for. I have met very few that have matched Caryl’s genuine concern for those placed in her path. She is knowledgeable about her subject matter and is driven by her passion to help others achieve the life they long for. I am grateful to have Caryl as a colleague and look forward to working with her again in the future.” – Chris Schaffner, Founder, Conversations on the Fringe
“This year was great for me because of Caryl…I love the way she teaches… she is the one to get anyone through any hard subject…Try her teaching only one time and you
will be hooked on learning.”

is also a patient, passionate, and proficient mentor!”
